Fresh off his Grammy win for Brown Skin Girl with Beyonce, Blue Ivy Carter and St. John, Nigerian artiste Wizkid has scored two nominations, as the 2019 song from Beyonce’s album The Lion King: The Gift has been nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards 2021 in the ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best R&B’ categories respectively. Ghanaian dance hall artiste Shatta Wale was also nominated for ‘Best Art Direction’ for his appearance in Beyoncé’s “Already.”
