The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning yet again, as veteran Nollywood actress Rachel Oniga is dead.
Contrary to reports that that the veteran actress died from complications due to covid-19, her family has issued a statement writing that she died from heart-related issues instead.
In a statement released by her sister, Deaconess ToyinOdusote, on behalf of the family, she wrote, “With a heavy heart and total submission to God, we write to announce the passing unto glory of our beloved sister, mother, and grandmother; Chief. Rachel TabunoOniga. She died in a Lagos hospital at the age of 64, on Friday, 30th of July 2021, at about 10pm.
