Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni in defense of the SARS department of the Police department, stated that as a Unit, SARS has performed excellently well for the role for which they were established. On reports of exploitation by these officers, Owoseni said corruption is a national endemic that is just more popular with the police because they are at the fore front.
