Veteran Nollywood actor, producer and scholar, Professor Ayobami Akinwale has passed away.
According to reports, he died over the weekend as a result of a brief illness.
The late thespian is popular for his roles in movies like Sango, Ladepo Omo Adanwo, Iranse Aje, amongst many other movies.
Ayobami Akinwale was a professor in the department of The Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin until his death.
He was also once the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Culture of University of Ilorin, as well as the chairman of the Oyo State Council for Arts and Culture.
