The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards has held with various performances done virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The award ceremony which held over the weekend, was hosted by Keke Palmer at the Barclays Center in New York, and saw various winners take home the coveted moon man plaque.
Lady Gaga was the biggest winner of the night. Out of her nine nominations, she won five awards, which include artiste of the year, song of the year, best cinematography, best collaboration with Ariana Grande, and the inaugural Tricon award which recognises an artist who is highly accomplished across three or more disciplines.
Ariana Grande also won four awards out of her nine nominations for Song of the year, best cinematography, best collaboration with Lady Gaga for ‘Rain On Me’, and Best Video From Home, while The Weekend grabbed two awards for Video of the year and Best R&B for ‘Blinding Lights’
Other winners include, Megan Thee Stallion, BTS, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, H.E.R, Cold Play and others.
