22-year old Uwa Omorzuwa died 3 days after she was violently raped inside a Miracle Sanctuary parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God located at 44, Osa Amadasun street, off Agbor road, Benini city.
The Pastor who heads the Parish was almost lynched by angry community members when he went to pay condolence visit to the family, if not for the timely intervention of the police.
Investigation is ongoing…
The Family of the deceased and members of the National Association of Nigerian Students are calling for justice for Uwaila Omorzuwa.
Already, her death is trending on social media with the #JusticeForUwa while the police say they have launched a manhunt for her killers.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki says he has ordered the police to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the death of Miss Vera Uwaila, a 100-level Life Sciences student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN).
