Nigerian artiste, Burna Boy has won for the second time in a row the BET Best International Act award.
Burna Boy beat other acts such as Stormzy, Dave, ShoMadjozi, Innoss’B, and France’s Ninho&S.Pri Noir to claim the award at the just concluded BET Awards, which was conducted virtually due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Nigerian artiste Rema, however, lost the BET Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act award to Zimbabwean singer-songwriter, Sha Sha, while Wizkid won the BET HER Awards for his collaboration with Beyonce, Blue Ivy Carter, and Saint Jhn on ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
Other big winners of the night include, Roddy Rich who won album of the year and Best New Artiste; Lizzo who won Best Female R&B/Pop Artiste; and Chris Brown, who won the Best Male category and Best Collaboration for his feature with Drake on ‘No Guidance’.
Best Female Hip-Hop Artist went to Megan Thee Stallion, while Best Male Hip-Hop Artist went to DaBaby, and Best Group went to Migos.
DJ Khaled featuring Nipsey Hussle, and John Legend won Video Of The Year for ‘Higher’ while Beyonce won the BET Humanitarian Award from former First Lady Michelle Obama.
