Bill Cosby Granted Appeal In Sexual Assault Case

Embattled American comedian and actor Bill Cosby’s sexual conviction might get over turned as The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to review two aspects of his 2018 sex crime trial where he was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Reacting to this new development, Andrew Wyatt, who is Bill Cosby spokesperson, issued a statement where he wrote,

“America and the world is witnessing the 23rd day of protests regarding the abuse and murder of Black people, not just at the hands of corrupt police officers; but these extremely vital and important protests are exposing the corruption that lies within the criminal justice system (District Attorneys & Judges).

As we have all stated, the false conviction of Bill Cosby is so much bigger than him, it’s about the destruction of ALL Black people and people of color in America.”

If you would recall, in April, Bill Cosby’s team had expressed concern for his health in prison during this Coronavirus pandemic, thereby requesting an early release of the embattled comic actor, but the request was denied.
Bill Cosby, who still insists on his innocence, is currently serving his three to ten year-jail sentence for sex crimes, having already spent almost two years behind bars.
