Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson who were among the first set of celebrities to announce that they tested positive for the coronavirus are now willing to help in any way they can to fight the disease.
According to reports, the couple who are now recovered are planning to donate their blood for research purposes because their blood now carries coronavirus antibodies.
Tom Hanks made the revelation during a podcast on National Public Radio where he said “We have not only been approached, we have said, ‘Do you want our blood? Can we give plasma?’ And in fact, we will be giving it now to the places that hope to work on what I would like to call the Hank-ccine”
Tom Hanks and his wife tested positive for COVID-19 while the were on set of a movie shoot in Australia, then they had to self-quarantine for about two weeks before they returned to the United States.
