Yomi Owope is joined by Child psychologist, Chidiebere Njoku, to discuss ‘Emotional intelligence in children’. Chidiebere stated that emotional intelligence is something we should pay more attention to, growing up in today’s world.
Chidiebere stated that being aware of yourself and others is important. He added that having total control of words said to people and words heard from people is also important.
He was also of the opinion that hitting a child with a cane doesn’t stop that child from repeating the crime or doing even more. He said that parents should learn how to listen to their children and have proper chats with them.
