A Nigerian man recently expressed concern about the content of most novels. According to him, most children novels are about wicked step mothers and evil witches instead of stories to warn them about all the unpleasant men they will encounter in life. ‘Let’s tell them stories that will keep them alert to perverts, to rapists, to the real evil that thrive in our community’. Do you agree?
