Burna Boy shines yet again at 2019 EMA awards: (SEE WINNERS LIST)

Burna Boy flying the Nigerian flag at it’s apex.  Following the 2019 edition of the MTV EMA’s  which recently took place at Seville, Spain, and it was indeed a night of over the top performances and award victors from some of the finest music superstars.

This year, the award was hosted by American singer Becky G, who treated to the audience to a satisfying time despite the fact that it was her first time hosting.

The show was opened by multi talented singer Dua Lipa, who gave a beautiful performance of her latest music single ‘Don’t Start Now‘.

Nigeria’s Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, who has add nothing short of an amazing 2019, added to his list of wins by emerging as winner of the Best Africa Act award.

Although Burna Boy was not physically present to receive the award, Alex Okosi, executive vice president and managing director for Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) and BET International commented on the win saying:

“African music continues to make significant contributions to global entertainment and culture. We are proud of and congratulate Burna Boy from Nigeria for winning the Best Africa Act at the 2019 MTV EMA which showcases and celebrates the best talent from the world.”
