The Nigerian Police Force has received a wide range of criticism for many years over the conduct of its officers in enforcing the law. The alleged misconducts range from harassment, extortion, torture and sometimes, extra-judicial murder of Nigerians. To further buttress these allegations, Fisayo Soyombo, an Investigative journalist previously with #TheCableNews, joined us on the show. He spent 2 weeks in detention, 5 days in Police cell & 8 days as an inmate in Ikoyi Prison to track the corruption in Nigeria’s criminal justice system and among the Police.
The PRO, Nigeria Police, Frank Mba joined us on the phone to shed more light to this undercover investigation and he said that a team has been set up to look into this matter and investigate the case.
