Comedian and actor, Kevin Hart was rushed to the hospital with major back injuries he suffered from a car accident that occurred on Sunday following a car accident in Los Angeles.
Hart was driven in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda on Mulholland Highway by Jared Black who lost control of the car and it tumbled into a ditch.
Hart and the driver, Jared Black, sustained “major back injuries” and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, the report states.
According to the press release, “Two of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicle. The remaining occupant and owner of the vehicle, Kevin Hart, left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention.”
The report says Hart and the driver, 28-year-old Jared Black, both suffered “major back injuries” and were taken to hospitals, while another passenger, 31-year-old Rebecca Broxterman, only complained of pain.
TMZ is also reporting that fire department were forced to saw off the top of the car in order to free the trapped driver and female passenger.
Kevin bought the car back in July as a 40th birthday gift to himself and had posed alongside the new ride in a photo uploaded to Instagram with a caption that read, “I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th …. welcome home ‘Menace’ #MuscleCarLover”.
The driver of the car was “determined not to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.”
