Chef Yeide takes us through a delightful breakfast of shakshuka.
Shakshuka is a healthy Mediterranean dish from North Africa. The Israelites and Libyans basically jolly on this savory meal. Shakshuka is a simple dish to prepare and could be served as lunch and dinner as well.
INGREDIENTS:
Eggs
Paprika
Bell pepper
Tomato sauce {which is the base of the dish}
Vegetables
Olive oil
Mashed garlic
Chilly powder
Parsley
Oregano
Onions
Salt
SHAKSHUKA is best served with bread. To prepare this dish;
- We first heat the fry pan on fire.
- After heating for a minute, we add the onions and steam for a while to sweat the onions for the perfect flavor.
- Next, add the mashed garlic and the tomato sauce immediately.
- Stir till it dries up a bit.
- When the sauce is dried and still on fire, add a little of the chilly powder, add a lot of the paprika to get the perfect taste, followed by the oregano and maggi.
- Stir for a while, add little water and stir for about 2-3 mins.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and stir for about 2-3 minutes, add the raw eggs without stirring and sprinkle the parsley on it.
- Leave for some seconds and serve hot with bread.
