Nigerian musician Burna Boy recently was awarded the BET International Act of 2019.
The singer who attended the event in Los Angeles, USA was not alone as he was seen in the red carpet with his mom and girlfriend, Stefflon Don.
The singer reacted to complaints from Nigerians about his absence on the big stage when he was announced the winner of the category.
The singer said that he would have actually collected the award but he had to ‘go get a drink’. The singer particularly said this in reaction to a fan of his who asked him how many awards his mom was going to collect on his behalf.
However, not many found Burna Boy’s statement funny as they did not think his reason was justifiable or good enough. In light of this, they have reacted to his words with yet more complaints and praises too.
