TVC E. Some suspected Boko Haram gunmen have reportedly killed 18 people at Kuda-Kaya village Adamawa.
According to Othman Abubakar, the state police spokesperson, “a Boko Haram suspect was arrested by the police and we are still investigating the suspect to ascertain whether he is among the wanted Boko Haram leaders.”
One of the residents, Abdul Ibrahim, who spoke on Friday morning 17th of june, said the insurgents, numbering over 100, came at about 10 pm on Thursday shooting indiscriminately and in the process killed about 18 people.
He said during the attack, 10 persons also sustained various degrees of injuries, stressing that the death toll might increase He said 18 corpses were discovered on Thursday night after the insurgents had left the village.
He lamented that the majority of persons killed were women and children, adding that those injured in the attack were rushed to Gulak Cottage Hospital, three kilometres from the village, for treatment.
Report has it that some 10 persons were injured and some other persons are yet to be found as a search is been carried out.
