In this day and time and in this century, having a phone is a necessity but having a good phone is much more important. This article is all about ensuring that you have a good phone as well as help you to identify refurbished phones.
According to Nnakwe Darlignton, the Retail Sales Manager of POINTEK, a refurbished phone is a phone that was manufactured with an issue, taken back to the manufacturer for repair of the parts and brought back as a new device.
To identify a refurbished or authentic phone,
First, you need to look at the phone’s screen to see if it’s original.
Next, check for the IMEI which every phone has.
Specifically for an iphone, the IMEI you find on it should tally with what you have on the sim tree.
For androids, there are lots of things to look out for, to determine if it’s fake.
Go to ‘settings’ to check the legal information. If it’s a real phone, every information of the phone would be displayed here.
Meanwhile when you get a new android phone, the IMEI number on the pack has to be the result you get when you dial *#06# on the exact phone inside that pack.
Now, it’s possible for the phone to be refurbished and still have a tallying IMEI number. In that case, you determine its authenticity with the physical appearance.
Every phone has its own unique weight so when you are buying a phone whose weight is heavier or lighter than the spec already stated by the manufacturer, you should know it’s fake.
The resolution of the images as well should not be different or too far from the already stipulated camera pixel quality.
