Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi and his Russian wife, Olga Diyachenko and their twin daughters, Ava and Mia are currently in Nigeria on a vacation.
Mikel has not been in action for his club Tianjin Teda and missed the later part of the Chinese Super League (CSL) through an injury as they escaped relegation.
Captain Mikel is not ready to join up with his teammates as he has missed the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Seychelles,Libya,and South Africa, after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The football legend as well as his family received a warm welcome reception from family and friends In Nigeria.
He took to his official Instagram account to confirm his arrival back home he said, “Family #grandma #gradpa #cousins #Mimi #Ava .”
Olga, however, was more revealing about the trip to Nigeria on her official Instagram account.
She was well received and sprayed money along with getting involved in the traditional dances.
She said, “What an amazing day! Thank you for such a warm welcome to all 26 Obis Next time we’ll bring some moves too, although hard to compete p.s. I was not aware of the spraying tradition #nigeria”
