Lil Wayne’s annual Lil WeezyAna Fest was somesought of a Cash Money – Young Money Reunion after Wayne brought out surprise guest, Nicki Minaj and Birdman apologising to him on stage.
Lil Wayne and Birdman put their differences aside, and rocked the stage together. For some years now, both rappers have been at odds over legal issues.
In 2015, Wayne sued Cash Money for $51 million, claiming the record label violated his contract terms and withheld tons of money after delaying his album Tha Carter V several times.
Since then, Wayne has called out the Cash Money CEO during multiple onstage performances and Birdman repeatedly promised the release of Carter V. Earlier this year, things started to look up for Wayne and Birdman, as they were spotted together at a club back in March. Birdman posted a photo of him and Wayne at a club with the caption, “Me and my SON.”
This is good news for the then YMCB fans. Birdman publicly apologising to Lil Wayne said;
“I knew this day was going to come, but I didn’t know when it was going to come,” Birdman told the New Orleans crowd. “I’m sorry.”
