Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane speaks on the need for Ronaldo to rest from “time to time”. Ronaldo has been left out from the 19-man squad to face Espanyol today, 27th of February, 2018.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Monday, Zidane said; “It’s very important to always have Cristiano at the top level. He knows that from time to time he has to rest and that’s it. The season is very long and he’s also a player who will play in the World Cup at the end of the season.”
Ronaldo was also absent from Madrid’s 3-1 win against Leganes last Wednesday.

The pourtugese has scored 12 goals in his last seven appearances for the team.
