No fewer than 22 secondary school students and their teacher lost their lives yesterday in a ghastly motor accident as they embarked on an excursion to Kano.
The accident which was confirmed by the Kano police command, reportedly occured at about 11:00am which involved a truck and the bus conveying the students from Misau local governemnt, Bauchi.

According to a witness, the bus and the truck both trying to avoid a pothole, collided and 23 persons died on the spot.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kano Police Command, DSP Musa Majia has said “22 persons lost their lives”.
The bodies have been buried following the Islamic tradition.
