Olivier Giroud has joined the blues from Arsenal for an estimated fee of £18million.
The 31-year-old Frenchman had struggled this season playing at the Gunners side. Giroud arrived in London on Wednesday morning to finalize his deal with Chelsea.
After both clubs sealed the contract, Giroud signs an 18-month deal with an option to extend it for another year.
The Frenchman would pick up the No.18 Jersey for the blues
This is a win win for Arsenal and Chelsea with Arsenal completing a deal with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.
Giroud spent about five-and-a-half years with the gunners, scored a total of 105 goals in 253 appearance.
Meanwhile, Chelsea completed the signing of AS Roma defender, Emerson Palmieri. A £17.6m plus £7m in add-ons was agreed by both sides for the 23-year-old Brazilian.
