Jedidiah Ogunleye, mother of talented singer Simi, tied the knot with her beau, Feyisayo Akinsola over the weekend. Ms Ogunleye, now Mrs Akinsola who is over 50 years had hinted early this year of getting married.
Sharing her testimony during the New Year’s Eve service at the Daystar Christian Centre, Ms Ogunleye who had been widowed, revealed that she had always wanted to be among the happy couples she admired in the church.
According to her, ‘As an usher, she would always see happy couples in church and always desired same for herself.’
The wedding was attended by friends and family, as well as the Senior pastors of the Daystar Christian Centre, Nike and Sam Adeyemi. Simi however played the role of a maid of honour at the wedding.
