Real Madrid players are of the opinion that their hope to become La Liga champions again is “sinking” into a black hole after they were held by Celta Vigo in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Real Madrid were taking the lead with eight minutes to go on the clock against Celta after Gareth Bale’s quick brace had overturned Daniel Wass’s opening terrific goal for Celta Vigo.
Real Madrid hopes of wining the match was shattered as Maxi Gomez’s headed goal in the 82nd minute to ensure that the match finished in a 2-2 draw and piled more pain on Zinedine Zidane’s side, who had lost 3-0 to potential title winners and rival, Barca in their last Liga outing.
In response to the draw, Marcelo who has been with the club for over a decade said;
It is how it looks from the outside – we are sad, angry and we feel like we are sinking,
It is one of the worst situations I’ve experienced here.
