The video of 4 young men who took turns in raping an innocent young girl went viral on many social media platforms on Tuesday.
The video showed one of the boys sitting by the girl’s head, with his hands around her neck holding her down even as she struggled. As he did this, another was seen removing the girl’s underwear after which he forcefully parted her legs and tried to penetrate her.
The incident which sparked outrage on social media is said to have happened at Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Following the release of the video, the police swung into action, arresting 4 suspects believed to have been involved in the gang rape of the young girl.
According to multiple reports, the four suspects were apprehended by the Police after their video went viral with many calling for their arrest.
Police believe the perpetrators to be five in number and have launched a manhunt for the other one. Reports has it that the girl in the video, is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and at the same time, assisting the police in their investigations.
