Recall we brought news of how Rivers United players apologised to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, after they protested on Tuesday over the payment of their sign-on fees for the 2014/2015 season.

Pictures of the players discussing with Wike, while one of them prostrated before the Governor, went viral yesterday and twitter users didn’t find it funny.

Hon. Mudasir Ayanfe, @Honayanfe reacting to viral photo, compared how Gov. Wike welcomed a foreign player, Cristiano Ronaldo and how the Rivers United Players begged the Governor for their salaries.
