Paul Pogba is unhappy with his role in the France team playing alongside Juventus’ Blaise Matuidi, according to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
The former world most expensive footballer has been out of action for the Old Trafford outfit since their 3-0 victory over Basel in the Champions League, in which Pogba damaged his hamstring.
The injury saw Pogba miss France’s 1 – 0 win over Bulgaria, where Matuidi netted the only goal of the game, as well as their 2-1 victory over Belarus.
Pogba, who joined Man United for a then world-record breaking £89million at the start of last season, has now failed to score for France since November 2016. And his Man United boss believes him being played alongside Matuidi is having a negative impact on his performances for his country.
