Nigerian Afro soul singer Aramide, in an interview on TVC’s entertainment show, #WakeUpNigeria said she can do different kinds of music but the Nigerian music industry has taught her to be patient.
Aramide who is now married has been in the music industry for 11years, she spoke about how her type of music is different although she could do any kind of music.
According to her, it was difficult for people to get used to her kind of song.
“It was difficult, people had to be warmed up. We had to bring down the lyrics so people could understand and relate to it. It boils down to creativity. I think I can do any kind of music but I don’t want to confuse people on my brand of music.” She said.
Not deterred, she explained how she has learnt to be patient and very prayerful.
Speaking about what inspires her, she said” I am inspired by everything” but she did not leave acknowledging that music moves with time and she has to move with time and the environment.
