Popular comedian, Princess Damilola speaking on TVC’s Entertainment show, #WakeUpNigeria talked extensively about her comedy career and how much she loves giving.
The comedian who is also a motivational speaker and a caterer exposed that right from time she had been a giver, and joining the Rotary Club, made her more open to people who needed help and people who could assist her in giving to others.
She said; “I have always been giving. I can give 40naira out of 50naira, I don’t really care. Although I am not rich but I can do little. The Rotary club has given me the opportunity to reach out to a larger people. I don’t have much but I get from those who have and give out to those who don’t. I am now the Chattered President of the Rotary Club of Iwaya.”
Speaking about how she started comedy, she mentioned how she started out with anchoring events and Mr Wale Adenuga advised her to go fully into comedy.
“I started with anchoring events in school and all. I had the opportunity to make people laugh at an event because the invited comedian could not come early. Later on, Mr Wale Adenuga advised me to go fully into comedy and I have been in the industry since about 2002.”
