The Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor world media tour has moved into New York with the fighters unleashing more attacks on each other as they build up interest in their light middleweight boxing bout.
On the third stop of a four-day tour to promote their 26th of August fight in Las Vegas, the witty barbs that characterized their exchanges in Los Angeles and Toronto were replaced by what appeared to be real venom.
Mayweather was on the attack, branding McGregor a quitter.
McGregor has been defeated three times in his mixed martial arts career while Mayweather remains undefeated.
Thursday’s show at the Barclays Center, home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, drew a pro-McGregor crowd of more than 13,000.
