‘Malaka’ wins Cannes critics Week Award

The 2017 edition of ‘Cannes Film Festival’s Critics’ Week has come to an end, with Emmanuel Gras’ documentary Makala getting the Grand Prize.

The film tells the story of a young Congolese peasant who dreams of a better life for his family.
