The Oyo State Government says the state is free from the threat of a Meningitis outbreak. This assurance is coming following a media report of the disease in the state.
Commissioner For Health Azeez Adeduntan revealed that though there have been eight suspected cases of Meningitis, all the patients were subjected to established protocol for clinical diagnosis which turned out negative.
He urged residents to adopt minimum standard of hygiene on a daily basis to prevent the spread of the scourge.
