Justice Onigbanjo of the Lagos High court has adjourned ruling on a case filed by residents of Otodo-gbame against the Lagos state government, over alleged forceful eviction.
The people brought a contempt of court suit against the state governor, the attorney general, the commisioner of police, and that of physical planning and urban development.
The court criticised government for violating an earlier ruling, but said the respondents cannot be punished, because of the immunity enjoyed by the governor.
Ruling has been adjourned till April the 26th.
