Nigeria loses at ITF Junior tournament

Nigeria endured a torrid time  at the 2017 ITF/CAT African Junior Championships  in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday  as the boys’ teams succumbed to defeats in their doubles matches at the event.

In the boys’ 16 and under, Michael Osewa and Michael Ayoola lost 7-5, 6-2 to South Africa’s  Codie Van Schalkwyk and Damien Laporte of the Seychelles.

In the boy’s 14 and under, David Dawariye and Mathew Abamu were put through a more harrowing experience as they threw away a 6-3 first set win against Zimbabwe.
