The Lagos State Government has assured residents that health workers in the state have been put on alert to avert the spread of meningitis.
Commissioner for Health, Doctor Jide Idris advised residents to also take healthy precautionary measures as the disease could still find its way into the state.
The latest outbreak of the disease across the country has claimed more than 300 lives.
