Parents of students at Lincoln University in the United States of America on scholarship from the Bayelsa State Government have debunked rumours that the state government is not catering for the welfare of the children.
At a News Conference in Yenagoa, parents of the Lincoln University students thanked the state government for the educational support.
They called for the investigation and prosecution of the perpetrator using the pseudonym ‘Akpos
Akins’.
Ovieteme George reports that on December the 17th, 2013, a financial instrument of one million dollars was presented to the representative of Lincoln University Pennsylvania, United States of America as scholarship to students indigenous to Bayelsa
State.
Few months to the conclusion of the degree programme, a statement credited to one Akpos Akins claiming to be a parent, says the government is not catering to the welfare of the students.
The Bayelsa parents of students on scholarship to Lincoln University Pennsylvania are grateful to the state government.
The parents say they had written a letter of appreciation to the Bayelsa State government on March the 27th, 2017.
