Interim forfeiture : EFCC obtains court order on Patience Jonathan’s $5.8m

The Economic and Financial crimes commission,EFCC on Wednesday sought and obtained an order of a federal high court in Lagos for the interim forfeiture of about 5million US dollars and about 2 billion naira belonging to Patience Jonathan and La Wari Furniture and baths ltd. domiciled with Skye Bank PLC.

The commission on Tuesday withdrew an application it filed seeking a stay of execution of a ruling by justice Mojisola Olatoregun which unfreezed the account belonging to the wife of the former president.

The former first lady has until the 15th of May to make claims on the money.
