Group calls for measures to guard against early marriage

The annual chibok girls lecture organised by the bring back our girls group has called for more interventions that will help guard against early marriage for the girl child.

Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who was represented by his daughter, Sharida said the girl child should be protected and encouraged, because they reflect the advancement of a society.

During the lecture, parents of the 195 girls still in captivity pleaded with the government to rescue their daughters.
