Ghana have appointed Kwesi Appiah as coach to lead the Black stars qualifying campaign for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and the remaining fixtures of 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
The former Black Stars coach was chosen ahead of ex-France international Willy Sangol and Maxwell Kanodu , who has been the caretaker coach since March.
Appiah received massive support from Ghanaians to make a return after he had poor campaign with the team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
He is expected to work with former goalkeeper Richard Kingston.
Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah has also been named as the new team manager.
