The director of the Cannes Film Festival, Thierry Fremaux unveiled the official selection of the 70th edition in Paris.
The festival that opens on May 17th and will feature works by Sofia Coppola, Michael Haneke and Francois Ozon.
He announced 49 films from 29 countries, including films from 12 women directors and nine first-time feature helmers. Russia makes a strong showing this year, and there is not a single Hollywood studio film in the selection.
Celebrities who should be seen walking the red carpet include Adam Sandler,Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, and Kristen Stewart.
