President Muhammadu Buhari has directed Habibat Lawal and Ambassador Arab Yadam to assume the positions of the acting Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the acting Director General, Nigeria Intelligence Agency respectively.
While, Lawal is the most senior Permanent Secretary in the office of Government of Federation, Yadam was a senior Deputy DG among Oke’s two deputies.
Babachir Lawal and Ayodele Oke were suspended to enable the Federal Government investigate alleged infractions against them.
Lawal will be probed over a 200 million naira contract awarded by the Presidential Initiative for the North East, to a company allegedly linked to him .
Oke is being investigated for his involvement in the 43 million dollar cash, found by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The panel led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has 14 days to submit its report.
