Bayern coach Ancelotti criticises referee after UCL exit

Coach of Bayern Munich, Carlo Ancelotti, has criticised the officiating which saw defending champions, Real Madrid eliminate his side from the UEFA Champions League.

Controversial officiating and a record making hat-trick by Cristiano Ronaldo ensured Madrid defeated Bayern 4-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu to reach a seventh successive semi final in the Competition with a 6-3 aggregate victory.

Trailing 2-1 from the first leg Bayern forced the game into extra-time with a 2-1 lead within regulation time to level aggregate scores to 3-3.

But an 84th minute red card to Arturo Vidal and an offside goal by Ronaldo in extra time put the tie beyond the Germans.

Ronaldo then tapped in a third to score his 100th goal in the UEFA Champions League.
