Army donates Clinic to Tigi Community in Plateau State

The Nigerian Army has donated a clinic and water scheme to Tigi community in Riyom local Government area of Plateau state, North central Nigeria.

Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai who was the special guest of honour at the occasion inaugurated the project.

Correspondent Funom Joshua reports that the beneficiaries are natives of Tigi community in Riyom Local government area of
Plateau state, Nigeria.

They are here dancing to express their joy and gratitude to the Nigerian Army for building this medical facility, the first of its kind in the area.

Tigi community shares a boundary with Southern Kaduna and residents had to travel down to Jos the state capital to access medicare prior to this intervention by the commander, Operation Safe Haven, Major General Nicholas Rogers.

Traditional leaders and their subjects from Plateau state and southern Kaduna came out en-mase to witness the historic event

Nigeria’s Chief of army staff, Tukur Buratai who was the special guest of honour at the event did not waste time in officially opening the Nigeria Army medical outpost, Tigi.

And shortly after the event the Army boss in an interview with reporters called on residents of the area to report suspicious movements within their locality to law enforcement agents. This, according to him, will help the security operatives in the discharge of their duties.

The Clinic which is bordering Plateau and Southern Kaduna communities will go a long way in easing the many health challenges confronting the locals in the area.
