Stand Up act, Mandy speaks on challenges facing female comdians

The Nigerian comedy has grown to be a full-fledged money spinning enterprise. But, where are the women?

It is said that there still is gender discrimination in the Nigerian comedy industry with women regarded as less effective compared to the men in this industry. But there are women who have stood their grounds and are doing interesting stuff.

One of such is female comedian Mandy who continues to be one of the women who began the process of breaking the glass ceiling in the country’s comedy industry.

But that feat didn’t come without its challenges. Mandy said since the industry is mostly dominated by men, it becomes very difficult for the opposite sex to break their monopoly.
