Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal has pledged to continue to place premium on improving Educational standards at all levels in the state
He made the pledge at the fourth Matriculation of the State owned Sokoto State University which saw the matriculation 1300 students into various departments and faculty of the university
Governor Aminu Tambuwal also commissioned projects on the premises of the institution aimed at boosting learning
TVC News Suleiman Nasir was there and now reports that the new entrants file forward to partake in the ritual of being
matriculated into the various departments and faculties of the Sokoto State University.
They are the fourth set of students to be admitted into the state university establish by Sokoto State Government four years ago to cater for university education need of Sokoto state and neighbouring states.
The newly admitted students are admonished to be law abiding and remain focus to the goal of acquiring knowledge, the reason they are admitted into the university.
Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal is the Visitor of the school and he has a few words of admonition for the matriculating students, charging them to remain resolute and be determined to achieve their education targets in record time.
In line with his focus on bettering educational standards at all levels, Tambuwal also commissions certain projects in the institution,in
fulfillment of his promise h to make the institution the pride of the nation.
Education is top on Governor Tambuwal’s agenda, as exemplified by budgetary allocations since he took over administration of Sokoto state and his appointment of three separate commissioners to take charge of the three tiers of education in the state.
