The leader of Nigeria’s Senate, Ahmed Lawan, says the Senate is working with President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that the campaign promises of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are delivered to Nigerians.
Senator Lawan stated this while speaking with State House Correspondents after a meeting with the Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Senator Lawan, said that it was not unusual for the legislature and the Executive to disagree or agree on certain issues in a democracy, pointing out that what was important was for both to work for the interest of the people.
He disclosed the meeting with the vice-president was very fruitful and productive as their discussion focused on “national interest, the interest of Nigerians and the interest of making Nigeria better.”
