The Presidency has dissociated President Muhammadu Buhari from any certificate scandal claiming he’s not culpable.
The reaction followed a report published by a national daily on Sunday.
Reacting to the report titled “Prominent Nigerians with certificate scandals, Presidential aide, Garba Shehu, said Buhari did not fit into the categorization with certificate scandals.

He admitted that during the 2015 presidential election, among other malicious allegations, the issue of certificates was raised against Buhari to stop him.
Shehu says the challengers either withdrew or abandoned the cases soon after he won.
He advised the editors to update their records to avoid making this repeated mistake.
