The Senate Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has agreed to consult with their state governors before taking a decision on an invitation by the Ali Modu-sheriff leadership of the party to join in reuniting PDP members.
Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio at a briefing with Senate Correspondents on Wednesday also says the party is emerging stronger despite recent defections by some PDP senators to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Senator Akpabio says the defections are being done by senators due to local politics but says the PDP Senate Caucus is set to work out a lasting solution to the leadership crisis rocking the party so as to halt future defections.
