Media charged to create awareness on Global teacher prize

The African Media and governments have been charged with the responsibility of the creating awareness on the Varkey
foundation’s Global teacher prize.

The African finalist from Kenya in the top ten finalist for the Global teacher prize, Michael Wamaya, who gave this charge in Dubai,

ahead of the 2017 edition of the conference, maintained that the media has a duty to effectively tell the stories about the finalists in the global teacher prize.

Others also share some of the challenges that sometimes work against effective representation of African teachers in the Global teacher prize.
